Peachtree Middle School Sports News & Updates
Spring Sports:
Peachtree Girls Soccer:
The back-to-back county champions are hosting tryouts for the upcoming season. Tryouts will take place at the Peachtree Track/Field on Thursday, Jan. 29th and Friday, Jan. 30th at 4:15pm. Students must be invited back for Day 2 of tryouts. Rainout dates will be Monday, Feb. 2nd and Tuesday, Feb. 3rd.
Students should come dressed and ready to play with athletic gear, cleats, shin guards, a ball, and a water bottle. Students should not wear their branded club gear to tryouts.
Each player will receive a number at tryouts and must submit their physicals/paperwork via DragonFly before Jan. 28th.

The Dunwoody Jr. Wildcats are now accepting sign-ups for new and returning players!
Why join?
This is a developmental program designed to teach the game from the ground up. We welcome experienced players, but no prior knowledge of the game is required. If your athlete likes to run and be active, this is the perfect team for them.
Schedule:
* Practices: Starting in January, 2-3 evenings per week (5-7 PM)
* Games: Saturday mornings

Dunwoody Middle School Baseball:
Interested in playing middle school baseball?
Find more info and FILL OUT THE INTEREST FORM. If you plan to try out, it's crucial to fill out the interest form so that the appropriate number of teams can be planned for before the tryouts.
Tryouts will be held on December 8 & 9 (5:00-7:00 pm) at Dunwoody Senior Baseball fields next to Peachtree.

The Junior Wildcat Golf Team will hold tryouts on Wednesday, January 14th 5:00 - 6:30 for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders.
Spots on the golf team are limited, so please contact Ann Hanlon (amiller46545@yahoo.com) or Sheila Greear (weil702@yahoo.com) for any questions. Please fill out the form so we are prepared for tryouts and who is coming.

Students must be able to provide their own golf clubs and provide transportation to and from tournaments.

Rock Climbing Club:
With Mr. McGee meets every two weeks at 8:00 am on Wednesdays in Room 631.
They will cover knots and safety. The group communicates by text to plan trips. Rock Climbing is a great way to face fears, overcome challenges, and build belief in oneself. The fear is at the bottom, the problem is in front of you, and the goal is at the top! For more information, contact Mr. McGee at Dewey_McGee@Dekalbschoolsga.

Girls games begin at 5:30pm on Wed and 10am on Sat. Boys games always follow immediately after the girls games.

Medical Clearance to Participate in Athletics
Parents - Students must have a sports physical and submit one of the following athletic consent forms to participate in a PCMS sports program. The form provides your consent and provides a doctor's confirmation that your child is healthy enough to participate in athletics.
